The Klaus Mueller Etude viola, set up to exacting specifications right here in our Tucson workshop, is ready to practice when you are! Crafted from fine spruce, maple, and ebony, the Etude is a popular choice among parents and teachers for its good projection, ease of playability, and resonant, even tone. Our experienced luthiers adjust each violin with utmost care and attention to detail, making the Klaus Mueller Etude viola an exceptional value.
Klaus Mueller Etude violas are hand-carved from well-chosen tone woods. Spruce top of defined medium grain. Inlaid purfling. Two piece maple back with medium to broad flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in a spirit varnish of a warm reddish-brown. Each viola is professionally shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house luthiers, to assure excellent playability. Outfit includes rosin: Your choice of strings, case and bow. Made in China.

Purchase was easy. Had to get help on the type of strings, case, bow to select as I was building my own combo package and had no idea what to pick for my Grandsons 1st viola. Other than that, it shipped quickly and was packaged well. One of the strings is very obviously out of tune but his teacher will be teaching them how to tune the instrument anyway. All together a good purchase for a beginner violist!

The hard case was too small to fit a standard bow comfortably. Waiting now for the case they normally include, which is two inches longer than the one I received.
