What others are saying

  1. A great value

    RJS (verified owner)

I stopped by SW Strings while in Tuscon for the Southwest Old Time music gathering and trialed 5 carbon fiber bows. I asked the helpful employee to pick 4 bows in the $100-$400 range and a Coda Luma just so I could see what a $700 bow felt like. One of the bows was a Coda Prodigy. I played the same passage several times while going through the bows without looking at the make or price and the winner was the Acro Nouveau Echo priced at $100. I was really surprised (and happy) that I liked the Echo better than the Luma.

The Echo weighs 60 grams and handles great. My JonPaul Fusion is still my main bow but the Echo is a close second. The Echo may not be suitable for “violin” music players but it’s great for Old Time.

  2. What I was hoping for

The bow arrived well packed. No warps to speak of. Gets a good sound and is reasonably responsive. A bit heavy, a little sluggish, but it is a $100 bow. This will be perfect for my middle school student.
